The Journey from Manitou Springs to Pikes Peak
The journey begins at the base of Pikes Peak in Manitou Springs, there you will be able to hop on the Cog Railway to take you up about 7,000 ft. The Cog Railway will take about 3 hours and 10 minutes but you will be able to see everything that Colorado has to offer. From wildlife, old coal mines, water falls, red clay mountain peaks, a wide range of tree types and so much more. It is a trip worth seeing in the Springs if you are enjoy the outdoors.

If you are planning on taking the Cog Railway then there is reserved parking for the Cog Railway and make sure you till one of the parking assitance that you are taking the Cog Railway, then they will guide you to the correct parking area. Lots of people try to park in that area to hike Barr Trail, or Manitou Incline.
There are other ways to get to the top of Pikes Peak and they are Barr Trail Hike, or the Pikes Peak Highway thats right you can hike 12 miles or drive up your self. However none of them as unique as taking the Manitou Springs Cog Railway up and see things most people wont.
